The new Homey Pro is designed to work locally whenever possible. Cloud connectivity is only used in absolute emergencies. This way, Homey Pro can always stay up, even if the network is down.

Homey Pro can even communicate with LAN devices such as Google Chromecast.

Port Forwarding is available so you can control your Homey outside the home, and local API keys allow you to grant API access without using the cloud.

Local backups are included for both PC and Mac, and you can perform a rollback as far back as you want!

For a small annual fee (€10 per year), you can add cloud backups for extra security. These backups are done automatically!
