The material is a durable magnesium alloy, and together with the tinder in Tinder-on-a-Rope, which contains 80% resin, you can start a fire even when it's wet outside.

The tinder is completely natural, free from chemicals, and comes from sustainable sources: cultivated pine from Honduras. It provides a strong, long-lasting fire.
The firesteel creates 3,000-degree hot, concentrated sparks and is safe for igniting both stoves and grills.
