LED-Pulse Detector

Detector that converts light from an LED into an electric pulse. The device can be used to detect light pulses from electricity meters that have an LED that blinks in correlation with power consumption. (Some new electricity meters have an IR LED, these LEDs can be detected!) WARNING! The device cannot be directly connected to the 1wire network and must be connected through the 1wire counter! Facts: - The device requires a +5v power supply (Voltage from USB adapter, HUB, or voltage injector is sufficient). - The device has high sensitivity and there should be no strong light sources nearby. If possible, place the detector directly over the LED without any air/plastic gap in between, as incident light will be less significant. - There is a red LED on the top of the device that blinks in sync with the detected light pulse. - The size of the pulse detector is only 2x3cm. Color coding for the cable that can be purchased is: - Brown: Ground - Green: +5v - White: Output pulse You can find the wiring information in the Wiki. L1 is the cable length to the detector.
