Intensify the strength of your output pins with 8 powerful Darlingtons! This DIP chip is equipped with 8 drivers capable of sinking 500mA from a 50V power source. Not only that, it comes with kickback diodes built inside for driving coils. This allows your compact microcontroller or microcomputer to effortlessly power solenoids, DC motors (in a single direction), and unipolar stepper motors.
It's important to note that this driver operates with an 'open collector' configuration, meaning it can only connect the load to ground. Additionally, there will be a voltage drop of 1 Volt (or more) across the internal transistors. The inputs can be driven by 3.3V or 5V logic signals. Plus, it conveniently fits into any breadboard or perfboard.
