N-channel power MOSFET - 30V / 62A

When you need to switch a significant amount of power, N channel MOSFETs are the best option. These FETs have a capacity to switch over 62A and 30V, and come in a TO-220 package, making them compatible with breadboards or perfboards. The TO-220 package allows for easy heat sinking, but due to their low Rds(on) (down to 0.009 ohms depending on the Vgs), you can operate them without a heat sink for relatively high loads. The threshold voltage is also very low, less than 2.5V, enabling direct control from a microcontroller running on 2.8V, 3.3V, or 5V logic. The TO-220 package is capable of dissipating up to 2 Watts without a heat sink at room temperature. With an Rds as low as 9 milliohms, this means you can switch at least 15 Amperes without a heat sink, and even more if PWM is used.
