This product from Philips Hue has been updated since mid-2019 with a new feature that allows you to control your Hue lighting with a Bluetooth connection (no Hue bridge required), in addition to the existing Wi-Fi capability (requires Hue bridge). To make it easier to get started with the system, you can now connect your light sources to a special Hue Bluetooth application that looks and feels just like the original app, but with fewer features. Now you can choose up to 10 different light points in your home and try out Philips Hue as much as you want before deciding to maybe buy a Hue bridge and upgrade the whole system to full functionality. If you choose to try Hue via Bluetooth, all "smart home" functionality will not disappear! In addition to the Philips Hue accessory Hue Switch, you will also be able to connect your lights to both Google Home and Amazon Alexa, allowing you to control your lights with your voice, just as if you had a Hue bridge in your home.

4 different light settings (Kelvin)
Light affects your mood, behavior, and routines. Set the right mood with light throughout the year. Four buttons for the different light settings. Through the relaxation light setting, you get a pleasant soft glow of white light at a brightness of 2200 kelvin. When you feel like reading, you can adjust the light setting up to 2900 kelvin with a simple button press that provides a brighter white light. The third light setting at 4300 kelvin helps you concentrate and is very well suited for studying or work. The last light setting that increases energy in the home is at 6400 kelvin in brightness and is excellent in conjunction with daylight.
